Lancashire NHS Trust spearheads no smoking campaign

The Central Lancashire NHS Trust is spearheading a new no-smoking campaign which will coincide with National No Smoking Day.

With the over-riding message of "never give up", the new campaign will encourage people who have tried to quit before to get in touch with the trust's stop smoking team for extra support, reports the Lancashire Evening Post.

The team offers free advice at times which can be fit around people's busy lifestyles.
On National No Smoking Day itself (Wednesday March 10th), the team will promote their message at the Morrisons in Chorley - as well as at the town's MedicX Pharmacy on Peel Street and Coppull Children's Centre, on Park Road, the paper states.

Earlier this month, the Central Lancashire NHS Trust launched a campaign to promote sexual health among 16 to 24-year-olds.

The trust teamed up with Rock FM and Best 2 Know to host a series of road-shows in the region covering topics such as contraception, chlamydia testing, teenage pregnancy and alcohol misuse.
