Professional fitness instructors promote healthy living in Asda

A pair of professional fitness instructors have showcased the benefits of healthy living at supermarket chain Asda.

Paul Brownrigg and Greg Plumber staged a number of Get Fit sessions at Asda's pharmacy in Leigh to promote health and wellbeing.

Organised as part of National Heart Month, the sessions include advice on how people can improve their diet and boost their fitness levels with a regular exercise routine.

Speaking to the Leigh Reporter, personal trainer Paul Brownrigg said: "Keeping fit and healthy is important all year round, but National Heart Month really brings home how necessary it is to look after yourself with some exercise and a healthy diet."

"A little aerobic activity every day can really make a huge difference. You can even do some simple toning exercises with cans of baked beans, whilst you wait for your tea to brew," he added.

Asda Leigh's Events Coordinator Matt Sanderson told the news provider that people often think they are too busy to stay health and Asda's pharmacy group wants to help counter that attitude.

Earlier this week, Asda announced that it was to start selling IVF treatment for just over £1,000.
