Community Projects

We are committed to giving as much back to our local community as possible. The North Devon Hospice has been the focus of our community work and over the last five years £110,000 has been donated to ensure that the hospice can continue to provide specialist round-the-clock care. A plaque now sits in the new wing in recognition of our substantial contribution towards its construction. Most recently, teams of Actavis staff have worked to create the Actavis Winter Garden in the Hospice, a beautiful space for residents and visitors to enjoy.

We have also been awarded the Education and Business Partnership certificate in recognition of our commitment to local education. Science and Engineering Ambassadors give up their time to offer support and help in local schools. This is part of a national initiative that encourages school children to take a greater interest in science and engineering, as well as providing schools with high quality resources.

Over the past few years support and equipment has been provided to Park School, Pilton School and Ashleigh School. A group of 20 students from the South Molton Community College were also given a tour of the factory and had the opportunity to learn about packaging and marketing.
